The philosophy of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering is to educate experts who study a wide area relating to electrical, electronic and communication engineering, which form the basis of the different industries of the modern society, and have at the same time the flexibility applicable to the other related areas. The department consists of the following three chairs; Electrical Energy Systems, Electronic Materials and Devices and Communication Systems. Chair of Electrical Energy Systems undertakes education and research focusing on the effective generation, transmission, conversion and utilization of electrical energy. Chair of Electronic Materials and Devices undertakes education and research focusing on electronic properties of materials and related devices. Chair of Communication Systems undertakes education and research focusing on mobile communications, image and signal processing, electronic circuits, optical electronics and microwaves etc.
