私たちの研究室では、建築・都市空間、そこでの人々の振る舞い（行為・行動）との関係に着目し、豊かな建築空間の創造のための計画・設計手法の開発を目指して研究活動を行っています。特に、国内外の伝統的な住居、学校建築、子どもの環境、設計方法などをテーマとして研究しています。調査手法は、フィールドワーク調査を基本とし、特徴的な空間体験を大切にして研究を進めています。
また、協働によるまちづくりや設計活動など、実際の建築・都市空間のデザイン活動にも取り組んでいます。
中国、モンゴル、マレーシアなどの留学生が研究室に在籍し、また定期的に交換留学生を受け入れ、多国籍な環境で研究活動を行っています。

Our laboratory focuses on the relationship between architectural and urban spaces and people's behavior in them, and our research activities are aimed at developing planning and design methods for the creation of architectural spaces. In particular, our research focuses on traditional dwellings, school architecture, children's environments, and design methods in Japan and abroad. Our research methods are based on fieldwork surveys, with an emphasis on distinctive spatial experiences.
We also engage in actual architectural and urban space design activities, such as collaborative community development and design activities.
International students from China, Mongolia, Malaysia, and other countries are enrolled in our laboratory, and we also regularly accept exchange students to conduct research activities in a multinational environment.
