講演概要：
The talk starts with an overview of the University of Sydney from a student perspective. The special features and highlights are brought out. Then a detailed description of research fields of interest and courses offered by the school of Aerospace, Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineeringis provided. The possibilities of international cooperation and student exchange are discussed. The second half of the talk concentrates on research projects within the school such as Direct Monte Carlo Simulation (DSMC), Unmanned Air Vehicles (UAV) and Future Propulsion. Speaker's own research into Optimisation of Aerospace shapes using Evolutionary Methods will be outlined. The talk concludes with the description of speaker's biomedical research into Optimisation of Stents for cardiac and cerebral application as well as prediction of risk of rupture of an aneurysm.
